TCA Compliance recently expanded its staff as part of its strategic growth plan.
Sarah McCaslin has joined TCA Compliance as a compliance consultant. She is based in Oklahoma.
“Financial institutions from coast to coast seek out TCA’s services. Expanding our consultant base to the West and Southwest allows TCA to offer more significant personal interaction with clients and build stronger relationships with regional banking associations,” says Michelle Strickland, TCA Compliance’s Managing Partner | Co-President.
McCaslin built her expertise at an Oklahoma bank, where she did hands-on compliance for nearly a decade.
She started as a compliance analyst and developed policies and procedures for the bank. That included designing a CRA compliance program, conducting TRID updates, overseeing HMDA filings, and developing MLA lending procedures.
After accepting a promotion, McCaslin took on greater responsibility and broadened her expertise. She managed the bank’s compliance department and served as its officer for Compliance, BSA, and CRA.
Though her skills are wide-ranging, her focus at TCA is consumer compliance. McCaslin is exceptionally knowledgeable about overdraft regulations and adept in guiding and advising upper management on risk reduction.
“Sarah’s knowledge of consumer lending is strong, and she brings a real-world perspective and a commonsense approach to client reviews,” says Strickland. “Having worked with ‘second chance’ clientele at her former bank, Sarah is uniquely qualified to understand the regulatory minefield that institutions must navigate when offering products and services to this niche market.
